Coventry Cathedral

11th October 2018 By richard

Since opening in 1962 Coventry Cathedral has been a major tourist attraction welcoming both tourists and pilgrims from around the word. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence, the Cathedral contains some of the finest examples of 1950’s and 60’s Art and Architecture in the country. I was very pleased to be given a tour of the Cathedral… The artwork inside is incredible and well worth a visit!

I worked closely with the Coventry Cathedral reconciliation team to develop a set of banners designed to be displayed in the Cathedral in order to communicate to visitors the work they do promoting reconciliation, which has a central place in the vision of the Cathedral.

I was also asked to design a new logo for their ‘Together For Hope’ project, an initiative with the aim of widening the appeal of their work to include local, national and international multi-faith organisations. The new logo needed to work in harmony with their existing logos, and it was important to avoid the use of specifically Christian symbolism, the logo is heavily influenced by the Catherdals Baptistry window, and features their unique font. (Also shown – some alternative designs for the project).

Child Rescue Nepal

11th October 2018 By richard

Each year I select a charity that I believe in and could help make a difference. I am delighted to be working with Child Rescue Nepal, a growing charity who’s work is mostly concerned with child slavery in Nepal. They have recently changed their name from The Ester Benjamins Trust, and have a new logo.

This has meant working closely with them to implement their new logo and develop their brand image. I have produced design items which include leaflets, banner stands and email/postal pieces. The work aims to maximise awareness and therefore donations, through creating a powerful, vibrant, and meaningful message.

Projects include:

Implementing new logo
Brand identity
Annual review
Information leaflet
Banner stands
Postcards
Event invites
Postcards
Email leaflet
Collection boxes
Stationery
